The website of the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine has published an analytical material by Andrii Bova, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, and Oleksii Bielenok, Research Fellow, "The material situation and institutional support of IDPs and the immobile population: a comparative analysis under war conditions"
The full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation caused an unprecedented displacement crisis, dividing the population into those who remained in their communities and those forced to become internally displaced persons (IDPs). This situation creates a unique context for a comparative analysis of these two groups, including in terms of their material situation and institutional support.
The empirical basis of the study is the results of a sociological survey conducted by the Rating Sociological Group at the request of the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine on 6–10 October 2023 (n=2746).
