Analytical material by Serhii Dembitskyi, Doctor of Sociological Sciences: “The individual value of power: facets of understanding”

The website of the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine has published an analytical material by Serhii Dembitskyi, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, "The individual value of power: facets of understanding"

The material set out below is based on the results of a thematic analysis of the content of in-depth interviews (N = 16) devoted to studying how people understand individual values. The study was conducted within the research project “A systemic approach to the sociological study of individual values: empirical implications”, under a grant of the NAS of Ukraine to research laboratories/groups of young scholars of the NAS of Ukraine for 2021–2022.

In all, 13 different values were discussed with people of various ages and sexes and with differing professional experience. But the analytical material presented here is devoted to the one least in demand among Ukrainians — the individual value of power.
