The website of the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine has published an analytical material by Serhii Dembitskyi, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, "Ukrainians' will to resist: psychological vs social factors"

The uniqueness of the Ukrainian situation lies in the fact that no European state since the Second World War has had to wage such an exhausting, protracted interstate war against an enemy that greatly exceeds it in capacity and resources and is attempting to occupy a substantial part of its territory and deprive it of sovereignty. In this context, examining the civilian population's will to withstand a full-scale invasion is a fundamental aspect of understanding Ukraine's national resilience.

The material that follows offers the results of an analysis of the extent to which psychological and societal factors affect the will of Ukraine's civilian population to resist external military aggression.
