Ukraine's national representative in the World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR), Senior Research Fellow of the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine, Candidate of Sociological Sciences Olha Burova reports

Dear colleagues!

Since the beginning of last year the number of WAPOR members from Ukraine has grown from one person to more than thirty. But I hope there will be more of us!

Our participation in WAPOR is not only an opportunity for professional growth but a unique chance to meet colleagues from all over the world and to exchange views and experience.

This year we have a splendid opportunity to meet at the conference in Seoul, where current questions in the field of public opinion research will be discussed. This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to support WAPOR's mission but are not yet members. One can join for just 10 dollars a year. It is still possible to become a member or a friend of WAPOR through the special fund for researchers from Ukraine. And if you do choose to be a “friend of WAPOR”, the fund will be able to pay for as many people as possible, which is of course a priority. The difference between members and friends of WAPOR is small, so do look into it.

This is a great opportunity for many of us to become part of this large and important international community.
