The website of the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine has published a popular science material by K. V. Ivashchenko, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, "Migration attitudes of Ukrainians: pre-war trends, the current state and future prospects"

Although the full-scale war continues, the question of the post-war migration of Ukrainians is already becoming one of the central themes of public debate. How many of the people now abroad will return to Ukraine after the war? How many of those who have already left will stay abroad? What share of citizens will decide to leave once martial-law restrictions are lifted? How will prolonged migration change the country's demographic future, its labour market, its education system, social policy and the prospects for post-war recovery? Demographers, sociologists and economists increasingly stress that competing for human potential will become a priority task for Ukraine — possibly no less important for post-war recovery than rebuilding the destroyed infrastructure.
