Popular science material by V. A. Pliushch, PhD: “Assessing the level of media literacy of Ukraine's population under conditions of full-scale war”
The website of the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine has published a popular science material by V. A. Pliushch, PhD, "Assessing the level of media literacy of Ukraine's population under conditions of full-scale war"
Assessing the level of media literacy of Ukraine's population under conditions of full-scale war acquires particular importance, since Russian aggression is constantly accompanied by powerful disinformation campaigns, waves of aggressive propaganda and forceful informational manipulation of public opinion aimed at undermining the morale of Ukrainians and distorting the real picture of events in the country and the world. At the same time it is the war that has stimulated the development of critical thinking among Ukrainians — attention has grown to the quality of the sources from which information is obtained, to verifying the reliability of the facts published, to an awareness of the role of good journalistic work and to giving priority to official channels of communication.
