Popular science material by V. A. Pliushch, PhD: “Migration orientations of Ukrainian society: internal rootedness and mobility potential”
The website of the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine has published a popular science material by V. A. Pliushch, PhD, “Migration orientations of Ukrainian society: internal rootedness and mobility potential”
The full-scale war has substantially transformed the migration behaviour and attitudes of Ukrainian society, turning the question of whether to stay or to leave into one of the key social dilemmas of wartime. The duration of the hostilities, the uncertainty about the prospects of their end, economic hardship and large-scale forced migration have shaped a heterogeneous migration landscape in which tendencies towards the rootedness of the population in Ukraine coexist with a retained potential for further mobility.
