Meeting with Valentyna Pliushch

On 26 May 2025 the Doctoral Students’ Club met Valentyna Pliushch — Doctor of Philosophy, Junior Researcher.

The online meeting covered a number of highly topical questions about the final stage of preparing a dissertation:

1. Deadlines for submitting documents;
2. Forming the membership of the specialised academic council;
3. Preparing for the academic plagiarism check in the Unicheck system;
4. Assembling the set of documents for the defence (application, supervisor’s report, extract from the minutes, abstracts, list of publications and so on).

Beyond these questions, participants shared their own experience of using various digital tools to organise work on a dissertation. Exchanges of this kind help doctoral students move through the procedural stages with more confidence and prepare properly for the defence.
