The volume examines the current state of Ukrainian society from the standpoint of civilisational features and its place in the system of contemporary human civilisations. It analyses the civilisational and cultural differences between regional, educational, age, ethnic, religious and other social groups and their civilisational orientations, and discusses the instability of the social structure and digital inequality. The authors devote considerable attention to political, ideological, cultural and religious values, to the phenomena of trust and social responsibility, to the state of science as a social institution, and to the attitudes of the population towards science and scholars.

This collection of research articles is intended for administrators, researchers, lecturers of higher education institutions, postgraduate students and students, and for everyone interested in the present state of Ukrainian society.
