Uchast u kulturi: liudy, spilnoty, stany (Участь у культурі: люди, спільноти, стани, “Cultural Participation: People, Communities, Conditions”)

This monograph explores contemporary conceptual approaches to the study of citizens’ cultural participation within the systemic turbulence of Ukrainian society and the reconfiguration of cultural orders. It provides empirical evidence of a tendency towards the restriction of cultural competence among diverse social groups, shaped by declining economic status, political constraints, media scepticism, and the limited quality of available cultural products. At the same time, the expansion of the public sphere and the rise of networked digital culture encourage the emergence of innovative forms of cultural participation within new communities. These groups assert their presence online, cultivate a sense of shared belonging, and engage in novel, fluid modes of social communication and cultural exchange.
