Parashchevin Maksym Anatoliyovych

In 1997 he graduated from the faculty of sociology and psychology (speciality “sociology”) of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 2000 he completed the postgraduate programme of the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine. In 2001 he defended a dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Sociological Sciences in speciality “22.00.01 – theory and history of sociology”. Author of more than 40 publications in academic editions. In 2004 his monograph “The integrative role of religion: a historical and sociological essay” was published. In 2009 he prepared the booklet “Religion and religiosity in Ukraine”, which analyses the data of a mass survey on the character of the religious orientations of the population of Ukraine. His main works are in the field of the sociology of religion and the sociology of culture. He has worked at the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine since 2001.
