Skokova Lyudmila Georgiivna

She graduated from the faculty of history of the T. H. Shevchenko Luhansk Pedagogical Institute. Since 1992 she has worked at the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine. She defended a candidate’s dissertation «The biographical method in sociology: history and the specific features of its application» at the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine in the speciality «history and theory of sociology» (2000). She received the academic title of «associate professor» at the department of sociology (2005). She defended a doctoral dissertation «Cultural practices in contemporary society: theoretical approaches and empirical dimensions» in
speciality 22.00.04 «special and branch sociologies» (2019). Author of more than 100 scholarly publications.

Research interests: the sociology of culture, the sociology of communication, qualitative methods in sociology, biographical research, the sociology of cultural participation.
