The library was established in 1991. The library collection makes up 20 thousand books in Ukrainian, Russian, English, German, Polish and Bulgarian.

The books are collected in accordance with sociological topics, sociology of economy and other branches, social psychology, culturology, history of public thought.

The reference-bibliography means: catalogues, bibliography files, including a collection of works written by the research fellows of the Institute.

The library works for the personnel of the Institute, students preparing scientific theses and students of the High School of Sociology attached to the Institute.
