The text is devoted to describing some of the results of a qualitative empirical study among Ukrainian war migrants in Poland, focused on adolescents aged 14–18 and their mothers (fieldwork conducted in spring 2024). Women have mostly pessimistic expectations about the future of Ukraine. Adolescents are more optimistic, do not plan to return yet, and want to study abroad. Women are radically hostile to Russia, while teenagers allow for the possibility of reconciliation in the future (excluding those whose relatives are fighting or have died). Ukrainian migrants in Poland, at least adults, remain part of Ukrainian society and can be an asset for the future development of the country.
