Abstract: Without understanding the nature of time, it is impossible to comprehend expectations regarding the future. This section considers time as a specific social phenomenon, discussing the future in the future, the future in the present, and the future in the past. The author analyzes images of the future based on their reliability, content, and time horizon. A key distinction is made between images of the distant future (primarily based on imagination) and images of the near future (primarily based on concrete expectations).
