The article examines the main socio-economic consequences of full-scale military operations that have been going on in Ukraine since 2022. It considers the material losses caused by the war (published in the reports of Ukrainian state institutes and international organizations) and attempts to assess the losses for human development caused during the three years of war. The sociological researches of public opinion, data from monitoring studies (including the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine), and Ukrainian and international research companies are analysed. The authors address the problems of state standards and their role in maintaining the socio-economic stability of the Ukrainian population.
